Shariah-compliant investing
Your wealth. Your future.Your values.
Personalised advice for your KiwiSaver and investing journey.
For people with $50,000 or more in KiwiSaver, or $50,000 or more available to invest.
Values-aligned investing
Your money can reflect what matters to you.
You have worked hard, contributed regularly and built a meaningful balance. But knowing how much you have is only part of the picture. Understanding where your money is invested, the businesses it supports and how those choices reflect your values matters too.
Bespoke Wealth helps you explore Shariah-compliant options for your KiwiSaver and wider investments, with advice that considers your financial goals alongside your values.
How Shariah screening works
A clear process, explained in plain language.
Shariah screening considers both a company's business activities and financial criteria. AAOIFI, the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions, publishes Shariah standards covering shares and investment sukuk.
The screening approach and ongoing oversight depend on the investment and provider. James can explain the methodology and product information for any option you are considering.
Where your money is invested
Global investments, with advice close to home.
Available global share portfolios may provide access to more than 800 Shariah-screened companies across 40+ countries. The underlying investments may be overseas, including in the United States. Your advice comes from James, here in New Zealand.
Beyond global shares
Halal alternatives to bonds, including sukuk.
Sukuk are Islamic investment certificates that can provide a Shariah-compliant alternative to conventional interest-paying bonds. Depending on their structure, payments arise from arrangements involving assets, leases or business activities.
Sukuk still carry investment risks. Their value can fall, issuers can default, and overseas investments may involve currency risk. James can explain which options are available, the relevant product documents, fees and risks, and whether they may suit your circumstances.
